The Wine Cellar of the Month: Le Macchiole

Le Macchiole is a Tuscan wine Company born in the town of Bolgheri and famous around the world for its quality wines. Some of the main characteristics of this wine cellar are the complete respect for the territory, as well as a work ethic that does not allow for any compromises—as the company itself has explained. This allows Le Macchiole to produce only the best wines that nature has to offer.

Among the rich wines proposed by Le Macchiole the Scrio wine stands out: a red wine, 100% Syrah, characterized by the delicate smell of cherries and black pepper. It is true artwork concerning taste, for it gifts the palate with a long finale and the unmistakable and beloved flavors of fresh black fruit, such as blackberries and prunes.

Here are some interesting facts concerning this wine: in 2015 and 2016 it received 3 Gambero Rosso glasses. Furthermore, in 2015 this wine was awarded 100/100 points by James Suckling, and in 2016 it was awarded 97/100 points by Wine Spectator.

Le Macchiole: Scrio, Messorio, and Paleo, international excellencies

Among the other fantastic creations of Le Macchiole are Messorio 2014 and Paleo 2016. They have both received important prizes by Gambero Rosso, Wine Spector, and Duemila Vini, which confirm their sublime taste.

The Messorio 2016, 100% Merlot, has received much recognition, as well as 99/100 points in Robert Parker’s wine chart.

It’s no chance, then, that the productions of this Italian wine cellar are in high demand not only throughout Italy, but also on an international scale, and that they deserve to be considered among the best quality wines to be enjoyed with meat and cheese-based dishes.
