Christmas Chart

During the Christmas period, good wine is a must-have on all decorated tables. For this reason, Enoteca Properzio has created a Christmas wine chart, with a list of wines that are perfect to enjoy with family or after a meal.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Quintarelli 2003: among the most famous wines from Veneto, this Amarone is immediately recognizable for its intense liquorish notes and for its hints of cherry and prunes. Among its aromas, one can also enjoy vanilla and cocoa, which make its taste particularly intense and refined. Such a bottle will automatically create happiness and give a touch of elegance to your table, especially when you enjoy it alongside stew or roast.

Ornellaia White Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, 2017: for Christmas Eve, as well as for any other fish-based meal, this 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Viognier is truly the perfect white wine. It is lively and aromatic, slightly mineral with a tropical fruit scent; its balanced nature will exalt even the most particular dishes, such as shellfish.

Cerasuolo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Valentini, 2018: when celebrating, a 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a must! With its colors and fragrances, it will immediately add flair and happiness to any occasion. Its pinkish color, almost purple, bodes perfectly with bouquets that recall withered roses and violets. It will release its best taste when served between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius.

Champagne Spumante Caprai Brut, Enoteca Properzio selection: there are very few examples of a sparkling wine that is as delicate and persistent. This bottle is carefully selected, and offers a lovely and balanced coolness, also due to the hints of white flowers and apples.

Passito Sagrantino di Montefalco Scacciadiavoli, 2015: it is always the perfect moment to enjoy the aromas and fragrances of a ‘passito’. This choice in particular releases rich and clear sensations, that range from dried fruit to citruses.
