Ornellaia comes to life from the best terroirs of Bolgheri, a famous wine-growing area that has the merit of having generated great red wines between past and present. This wine bears the name of the renowned Tenuta Ornellaia as the utmost care and passion are dedicated to it.
It is a cuvée resulting from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grapes, with strictly manual and late harvesting. This wine goes through a soft pressing and macerates on the skins for up to 15 days. It is then refined in barriques in the Ornellaia cellar, at a controlled temperature, for 18 months. A further refinement of 12 months in the bottle precedes marketing for what is one of the most renowned wine brands in the world.
The color is a dark ruby ​​red. The bouquet is elegant with hints of black cherries and plums. In the mouth it is balanced with flavors of dark cherries, tobacco and cedar notes and a well-balanced finish.
To pair with first courses with ragù or cheeses.
