Wine Enthusiast's 2021 World's Best Wines Ranking

Brunello di Montalcino Collosorbo is among the 100 best wines of 2021 decreed by the renowned international magazine Wine Enthusiast. This Tuscan red has officially returned to the top 10, ranking seventh, with 96 points. In addition to the balsamic aromas, the experts were also impressed by the tannins and tobacco perceived on the finish, as well as the "fresh acidity." The chosen vintage was 2016.

Brunello di Montalcino Collosorbo among the best wines in the world

A wine that has always been appreciated, admired, and promoted by Enoteca Properzio for its exceptional depth and enveloping flavor. Brunello di Montalcino Collosorbo, in fact, is a 100% Sangiovese that releases enveloping notes of vanilla and spice on the nose, which delicately and harmoniously blend with a savory and full-bodied flavor.

On the podium, in second place (95 points), is another Italian: the Bucci 2019 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore, which this year has won the title of best white wine in the world. "This splendid white," the American magazine's website states, "opens with seductive aromas of Mediterranean herbs, yellow spring flowers, eucalyptus, and citrus."

Azienda Agricola Bucci also holds a place of honor on Enoteca Properzio, where you can purchase the 2016 Villa Bucci Riserva and appreciate its incredible freshness, perfect when paired with seafood dishes. This white wine from the Marche region is a 100% Verdicchio with an intense and rounded flavor. If the Bucci 2019 Verdicchio Castelli Jesi Classico Superiore has been proclaimed the best white wine in the world and the Brunello di Montalcino Collosorbo has beaten dozens of other French, Spanish, and international wineries, 2021 is certainly a year to remember for 16 other Italian bottles as well.

Among the 100 best wines in the world, almost 20% are Made in Italy.

Among the other wineries featured in the latest ranking of the best wines in the world, there are also other historic names such as Ferrari, Feudi di San Gregorio, Castello dei Rampolla, and Tasca d'Almerita. From Veneto to Sicily, the 18 Italian bottles awarded by Wine Enthusiast (almost 20% of the total awards) achieved decidedly high scores, ranging from 90 to 97. The triumph of Made in Italy confirms the exceptional quality of fine Italian wines, an undisputed example of international excellence, which continues to captivate the leading experts in the wine sector year after year.
