The grape of the month: Merlot

Merlot is one of the most successful grape varieties not only in Italy, but all over Europe and even beyond. Structure and harmony, body and texture: Merlot wine can boast perfectly balanced characteristics that give birth to the finest bottles.

An example of this is the Redigaffi Tua Rita of 2018, which represents all the best characteristics of a Tuscan red wine. It is not by chance that this 100% Merlot has been prized all over the world, from James Suckling to Wine Spectator, precisely for its sublime organoleptic properties. Characterised by particularly silky tannins and an intense chocolate finish, the structure of this wine surely deserves admiration. Perfect to be paired with first and second courses with meat.

The Belcompare Arnaldo Caprai of 2016 is a Merlot to taste on special occasions, but not only. At first sight, this wine of excellence enchants you with its red colour that tends to dark blue: impossible not to stay in contemplation. The feeling of ecstasy is also increased by its embracing scent and inebriating taste. A limited production not to be missed!

When you talk about Merlot wines, a classic one always much appreciated cannot be forgotten: the Etrusco Merlot Tili of 2016, with its unmistakable bouquet characterised by mineral and red fruit notes.

The Galatrona Petrolo of 2017 cannot miss in our selection. With this bottle, the renowned vineyard Tenuta Petrolo has given birth to an intense red wine with a strong personality and intense tannins, which remain however soft on the palate. The finish? A triumph of red fruit, a classy touch to go with a menu of game dishes.
