The 3-litre Tuscan wines that you have to try

Three Tuscan red wines, three bottles in the three-litre format, three proposals to be enjoyed over time.

Lodovico Tenuta di Biserno 2016: this collector’s item – awarded by Robert Parker, Duemila Vini, and Gambero Rosso – excels among the most appreciated Supertuscan of all time. In its 3-litre format, it is an exceptional choice to drink on special occasions. Red berries and liquorice are among the main aromas, accompanied by French oak in all its finesse. With its intense structure and delicate tannins, this Tuscan red wine boasts a delightfully long aftertaste.

Redigaffi Tua Rita 2017: A 100% Merlot that has won many awards both in Italy and abroad (for instance, it was rated 99/100 by James Suckling and 98/100 by Robert Parker) thanks to its rich body and intense flavours such as wild blackberry. The silky tannins provide a long but balanced finish, always in harmony with the nuances of chocolate. It is a sublime red wine to pair with red meat.

Tignanello Antinori 2018: born from the combination of Sangiovese (85%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), and Cabernet Franc (5%), this Supertuscan wine, which is a collector’s item, immediately fascinates with its ruby red colour. Later, fruity scents are revealed, while in the mouth it feels quite complex and dense. Coffee, chocolate, and jam are just some of the hints that cannot be missed on the palate.
