Tour of Italy: Marche

From the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, the wine cellars from the Marche region have established themselves on the Italian and international market thanks to their strong, structures, and winning personality. For this reason, Enoteca Properzio’s Tour of Italy leads to the discovery of the best wines of the Marche.

Kupra Oasi degli Angeli, 2016: this collection wine is the best example of a strong vineyard, a 100% Grenache, which was imported, probably from Sardinia, more than a century ago. Strong to the nose, it is elegant, sweet, and balanced on the palate. Its blackberry and spicy scent make it the perfect red wine to enjoy with both red and white meat.

Kurni Oasi degli Angeli, 2017: another collection wine that has received many awards and that is highly appreciated at the international level. With its crimson color, it bewitches everyone who lays eyes on it. The enchantment lasts during the tasting, as well, when its vanilla and banana scents, and its elegant tannins, come to life. This wine bottle is quite concentrated, and its production is limited to five thousand unities.

Villa Bucci Riserva 2015: after mentioning two noteworthy red wines, here is an exceptional white wine, a Verdicchio of a rich and fresh taste. Sage and orange flowers make it pleasant to the taste, so much so that it easily bodes with shellfish, including oysters.

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Velenosi, 2006: this 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo also comes from the Marche region, with its aroma recalling Provençal herbs and wild berries. Its warm and structured taste make it the perfect wine to combine with red meat.
