Wineries of the month: Poderi Morini and Cantina Peppucci

This month sees as protagonists two excellent wineries: Poderi Morini and Cantina Peppucci.

I Rovi Grechetto of Todi Peppucci 2016 0.75 lt.: this peach-coloured wine was born in Umbria, but its fame has spread all over the world. A 100% Grechetto that stands out on the nose for its ripe yellow fruit, that does not hide its floral notes. On the palate it has a delicate taste thanks to the fruity and mineral aromas. A bottle not to be missed and to be enjoyed with a fish menu or, why not, with white meat.

L’Altro Io Cantina Peppucci 2010 0.75 lt.: from the combination of Sagrantino (90%) and Cabernet (10%) was born a red wine with strong and fruity aromas. In addition to the mixed berries, there are also notes of oak and tobacco. When tasted, the tannins are dense and intense, creating a persistent taste. Suggestions for pairings? Red meat and cheeses are the ideal mix.

Nadel Poderi Morini 2016 0.75 lt.: the perfect combination of Sangiovese, Longanesi, Merlot and Centesimo creates a wine that is remarkable in every way. A bewitching colour – a deep ruby red -, an enveloping fragrance, and an unmistakable taste make this bottle one of the most appreciated in Emilia-Romagna. Structured and persistent, intense and elegant, it cannot be absent from the table, especially with an important menu.
