Valpolicella wine: unparalleled taste and tradition

Italy is a country whose wine-producing traditions are recognised all over the world, and the Valpolicella wine as well stands out as one of the most refined productions of the territory. Of a dark ruby red, it is generally served at a temperature between 18 and 20 degrees.

Its main characteristics are quite unique and recognisable. Its hues recall those of the grapes gathered during September and October, months during which the harvest reaches the perfect ripeness in order to guarantee a final product of excellent characteristics, a dark ruby red colour, and an intense aroma. Its scent recalls that of cherry, as well as red berries, plums, vanilla, and cinnamon. To the palate, its full-bodiedness prevails, with an intense and balanced taste, a true masterpiece for the senses of smell and taste.

The differences with the Valpolicella Superiore

The categorical and inflexible coupling of red wine and meat has by now been overcome. Indeed, the Valpolicella wine is not enjoyed exclusively with meat-based dishes, but also with pasta, rice, desserts, and many cheeses, especially the more aged ones. This red wine is created through the combination of different grape varieties, however, the Corvina and the Rondinella grapes are mostly employed. It is an excellent wine, appreciated globally - not exclusively in Italy - reason why the territory surrounding Verona hosts plenty of Valpolicella winemakers, who for years are proudly producing one of the red wines par excellence.
