The color is a clear rubin red. The bouquet is rich of nutty aromas, roasted pine nuts, burnt almonds with mature fruitiness of sour cherries and leather. There are toasted, cedary cask notes, but moderate. This nose is just about elegance. The taste is top notch with great harmony on the palate. Lovely aged swetness, beetroots, old fruit juice and plums in the finish. The high acids are very mature and fine and the tannins are more associated with fruit than oak.
To pair with game, red meat and not too aged cheese.
