Oasi degli Angeli
The beating heart of the Oasi degli Angeli winery lies in its emphasis on the human factor, supported by the strength of passion, research and dedication.
This is the focus of Eleonora Rossi and Marco Casolanetti, a young couple of winemakers who founded this winery in the heart of the Montepulciano wine area in Cupra Marittima in the province of Ascoli Piceno. Their choice emphasises a love of wine and this profession, preferring this to a method that produces a technically perfect yet soulless wine, which often in order to achieve that perfection has sacrificed the personality of its producer. This winery's icon is Kurni, which has not only won numerous awards over the years, but has also written the history of the Oasi degli Angeli. This Montepulciano affords those lucky enough to taste it with unique, unmistakable sensations. Its name comes from the nickname given to Eleonora’s family, Curnì (cornioli or dogwood). This hardy plant is as tenacious as the locals who dedicate themselves with a passion to the cultivation of these poor sandy soils.
