Italy is a country whose wine-producing traditions are recognised all over the world, and the Valpolicella wine as well stands out as one of the most refined productions of the territory. Of a dark ruby red, it is generally served at a temperature between 18 and 20 degrees.

Its main characteristics are quite unique and recognisable. Its hues recall those of the grapes gathered during September and October, months during which the harvest reaches the perfect ripeness in order to guarantee a final product of excellent characteristics, a dark ruby red colour, and an intense aroma. Its scent recalls that of cherry, as well as red berries, plums, vanilla, and cinnamon. To the palate, its full-bodiedness prevails, with an intense and balanced taste, a true masterpiece for the senses of smell and taste.

The differences with the Valpolicella Superiore

The categorical and inflexible coupling of red wine and meat has by now been overcome. Finally, this wine has various denominations of controlled origin, among which the Valpolicella Superiore. This production bears the denomination of Superiore because it utilises durmast barrels for no less than twelve months.
