Sauvignon wine: a masterpiece result of an exceptional vine

Sauvignon wine is the result of the perfect mix of taste and passion. Originating from the most renowned white grapes initially cultivated in France, in the Loire Valley, the Sauvignon wine is among the best creations of the wine industry. Specifically, its history starts in Sancerre and Pouilly-sur-Loire, cities that are known for their excellent white wine production. For each vineyard, the soil plays a fundamental role in giving a different degree of acidity based on its composition. Therefore, also with regards to the Sauvignon, certain minerals produce unique taste characteristics.

Sauvignon wine, the white wine perfect for every taste

The white Sauvignon grape holds an important position also in Italy, particularly in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Sauvignon’s quality and recognition derive from the hard work of those who strive every day to produce one of the most characteristic and appreciated wines in Italy and the world. With its pale yellow color with greenish hues, of more or less marked intensity depending on the vineyard, this wine should be served at a temperature between 8 and 10 degrees in order to appreciate its organoleptic characteristics even more. From white Sauvignon to red Sauvignon: the differences

On the nose, the Sauvignon is fruity, floral, herbaceous, and aromatic, with a balsamic and mineral hint. Its scents recall sage, tropical fruits, tomato leaf, elderflower, and vanilla. On the palate, it is characterized by its marked acidity, as well as its full body. It is a still wine that releases all its essence when paired with fish starters, aperitifs, first and second courses. The wonder of this wine is that it can be matched also with vegetable first courses, white meat, and spicy dishes, becoming one of the wines that best pairs itself with different foods. Each of its olfactory and taste characteristics guarantees a finished product of excellence, whose qualities are appreciated by anyone who likes to drink only the finest wines.

Sauvignon blanc: when taste and acidity go hand in hand

Born from the white grape variety and particularly appreciated for its acidity, the Sauvignon blanc is always both delicate and intense, harmonious yet structured. It stands out as one of the best white wines of all time and its character is very balanced and captivating.

The red Sauvignon, made from black grapes, has an unmistakable ruby colour with violet/blue hues. It is best enjoyed with meat-based first and second courses.
